CRUMMER, Ironui alias Iro. Passed away in Auckland Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand in the afternoon of Friday September19 after a very long illness. He was the last surviving son of mama Uraiata and papa Teoe Crummer. He will be missed by all his sisters, nieces, nephews, family and so many friends. TANGIMATE, Matamaru Tangiiti. We are saddened to announce that Matamaru Tangiiti Tangimate passed away peacefully in Auckland, New Zealand, on the morning of Wednesday September 17 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved son of the late Tangiiti and Rangi Tangimate. Brother of Nana (Ngametua), Vaevae, Ngapoko, Teremoana, Tangimate, Apana, Tapeka, Enoka, Ngatamariki, David (deceased), Vaine, Apii, Rosalind, Tangi and Marcel and uncle of many nieces and nephews. COWAN, George. Passed away September 13 2014 on Rarotonga. Educated at Wanganui Technical College and Auckland University. George was a highly-respected long-time friend and godfather to our first daughter. He was a town planner and land surveyor who contributed greatly to the infrastructure and economic development of the Cook Islands during the past 50 years. George was a devoted leader of the Mauke Island community. His wonderful friendship will be sadly missed. Deepest sympathy to Julia and family. Rest in peace George. Te Atua te Aroa. NOOAPII, Corbett. Born on the April 20 1964, passed away at Middlemore Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand, on Tuesday September 9 2014, after a short illness. Son of the late Nooapii and Mama Reo Tetamanu. Most loving partner of Ake Heather, precious Dad to his son's Berman and David. Will be greatly missed by all his family, work colleagues, and the many friends who he associated with while playing sport. Family service at the Pacific Islands Presbyterian Church, corner of Lyncroft and Buckland Road, Mangere on Monday September 15 2014 at 7pm. Funeral service at the same church on Tuesday 11am followed by burial at Mangere Lawn Cemetery.

BISHOP, Te-otu-o-terangi (mama Otu). Born January 24 1940. In loving memory of our Mum, Nana and Great Nan who passed away peacefully at home in Auckland, New Zealand, on Thursday morning September 4 2014. TANGAROA ELIA, Teokotai-o-Taiura. Aka Ratete. Born January 1 1957, Ureia, Aitutaki, passed away on August 29 2014 in Hamilton, New Zealand, aged 57. Son of the late Tangaroa Elia and Anna Nootu Teareuna of Aitutaki (deceased). Feeding son of uncle Uta Elia and Hina i te kumi Tonga (both deceased). Beloved husband of Te Owai Matuakore Joy Collier. Cherished and loving dad of all his children Robert, Steven, Bridget, Ina i te Kumi Tonga, Parenikau, Karani and Taiura and their partners and all the grandchildren. Loving brother of Mary and John Tini (deceased), Ruth and Teinakore George Turori (both deceased), James and Sharon (Tauranga), Nicholls (deceased) and Durl (Manaia), Putoko and Tuakana (Porirua) Makea and Akapoe (deceased) (Wellington) Tangaroa (deceased), Anna and Tua Iobu (Auckland), Joseph (Ureia) Rangi and Teke Tairi (Arorangi). Adored uncle of all his nephews and nieces. His body lies at his home 6 Cassidy St, Hamilton. Family service at his home on Monday September 1 at 7 pm. Funeral service will be at same address on Tuesday September 2 and afterwards to the crematorium.

HINTON, Mata (Ngaro-O-Terangi). Née Unuia. On August 23 2014 peacefully in her sleep at Stokeswood Home, Stokes Valley, Lower Hutt, New Zealand, aged 90. Dearly loved wife of John Richard Hinton, a devoted husband. Cherished mother of Mata, John, Ian, Alan, Anne and Peter. A very special Nana and grandmother of 12 mokopuna and 11 Ataro. Funeral service in Cornwall Manor, cnr Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt on Tuesday, September 16 2014 at 10.30am followed by interment at Taita Cemetery.

Beloved husband of Tarepeta. Cherished by all his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family service at 84a Preston Road, Otara, Thursday, August 28 2014 at 5pm. Funeral service Friday August 29 at 10am at 84 Preston Road. His body will be laid to rest at Manukau Memorial Gardens, 361 Puhinui Road.
