LINDSAY, Makatea. A beautiful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunty, Mrs Makatea Lindsay passed away in Rarotonga on Friday April 21 2017. She is survived by her husband Tautu Lindsay of Avatiu Rarotonga, and their daughter Mary Rose Lindsay and grandchildren who reside in Sydney, Australia. Aunty Makatea's body will be taken to their home in Avatiu Monday morning, April 24 at 10am. Family service will be held later that day/evening in their home. Her burial will take place on Tuesday April 25 at 10am at their home in Avatiu. Memorial service on Wednesday 2April 26 at 6pm at Manukau Congregation Church, 17 Laureston Avenue, Papatoetoe, Auckland, New Zealand. Following the service families are asked to please bring a plate for light refreshments. TANEAO, Ngatokoono Ruth. We regret to announce the passing away of Ngatokoono Ruth Taneao, beloved wife of Bob Taneao, mother of Ngamata and our dearest daughter, cousin and friend who╩sadly left us early Sunday morning April 9 at 2am in the Rarotonga Sanatorium Hospital. Her body has been transferred to her home island of Akatokamanava and rested at the family homestead at Taparere for two hours and then to the Oiretumu CICC Church for her service. From there her body will be moved to her final resting place beside her mama Tiare Temata at the family burial ground at Taparere. Ngatokoono also known to many as Toks, was 38 years old. NGAAU, Pivai Rapana. Passed away peacefully at the age of 84 in her home in Porirua, Wellington, New Zealand on April 8 2017. A daughter of the late Mary and Murumuru, and the granddaughter of the late Elizabeth and Thomas Marsters. She is a sister to the late Moeroa, Tenioi, the late Tokerau, and Ina Olive. She was a loving mother to Mary, Vainetutai, Tungane and Junior, and a grandmother to many grand and great-grandchildren. Her body is lying at Maraeroa Marae, 216 Warspite Avenue, Waitangirua, Porirua. Family service at the marae on Wednesday April 12 2017 at 6pm. Requiem mass in the Church of the Holy Family, 169 Mungavin Avenue, Porirua, on Thursday April 13 2017 at 10, thereafter to her final resting place at Whenua Tapu Cemetery, Airlie Road, Pukerua Bay. TEOKOTAI, Ruaine. Damian (Rex). Passed away unexpectedly at home in Porirua, Wellington, New Zealand, on Sunday April 2 2017 aged 42. Dearly loved son of Ruaine and the late Kautai. Treasured brother and brother-in-law of Elaine and Sandy, Sonny and Julz, Kautai (dec) and Sandra and Nooroa. Loved uncle of all his nephews and nieces. Funeral service on Thursday April 6 at the Ninness Funeral Chapel, 17 Kenepuru Drive, Porirua at 11am followed by private cremation. Sister of Tangi, Tere, Rima, Vaevae, Ngaru, Elia, Poko, Aki, Teremoana (aka) Tutai, Ua, Kiritakau, Vavia, Ngamata (deceased). Beloved wife of the late Makiroa Taokia and a loving mother of all her children Noo, Rima, Taokia, Andrew, Puna, Tangata, Alma, Pauline and Leanne Taku-Tungane Taokia. A caring nana of all her mokopuna and ina. Her body will be at Lagoon View Funeral Services, 3 Korma Lane, Panmure. Family service 7 pm Sunday April 2 2017, funeral Monday April 3 2017 at 11 am. RIO, Teapanga. AKA Phillip Panga, in Auckland, New Zealand. Husband of 'Our Queen' Mrs Susie Panga. Son of Teapanga Rio Taria and Tuatai Rio née Masters. His body is now home at 14 Serrano Place, Otara. Funeral service Thursday March 30 2017 at St Peters Chanel parish, Boundary Road, Clover Park at 10am. His bodywill be laid to rest on top of his beautiful Hokianga Queen at 12:30pm at Manukau Memorial Gardens. We welcome all to come celebrate the beautiful life of our grandfather.
