Heads of Ministry vacancies
The Office of the Public Service Commissioner invites applications for the following Heads of Department positions: Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Immigration
Secretary of Marine Resources
Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Planning (MOIP)
Chief Executive Officer, Office of the Public Service Commissioner
The Secretary as the Executive Head of each Department will need to champion innovation in service delivery while efficiently and effectively delivering each Department's functions towards achieving the vision of the Public Service in 'Public Service of Excellence'. The term of employment commences 1 July 2013 up to the end of June 2015. Applicants will be required to have a management or relevant Degree and over 5 years senior management experience (leading an organisation, division and staff) at the minimum. Director
Director Cook Islands Tertiary Training Institute. The Ministry of Education is establishing the Cook Islands Tertiary Training Institute to provide tertiary education and training in the Cook Islands. The Director will be responsible for the overall leadership, and performance of the institute and its relationship with employers, students and the community. The Director will report to the Secretary of Education. The Ministry seeks an outstanding person who is: An experienced leader of tertiary learning. A skilled manager of people and resources. An expert in educational innovation. Knowledgeable about qualifications and quality assurance in education. Able to understand the skill needs of employers and learners and lead the development of training to match those needs. Experienced in training for industry. Knowledgeable about on-line learning. Suitably qualified with an appropriate tertiary qualification. Applications close on Friday May 3 2013. Operations manager

Manager/operator
Multi-skilled manager/operator required for small resort. Must be people skilled, fluent oral and written English, IT literate, with Boatmaster licence and experience operating, maintaining and repairing motor and sailing boats, capable of general maintenance, service, repair on buildings, motor vehicles. Parts department assistant

Hotel manager
